Can I have your opinions, advice and photos of them please!

Looking at buying one this week. Its v old but had a lot of work done.

Mainly want to know what size horses you traveled? And I cannot find a single photo of one loaded on the internet, if anyone has a photo I'd be very grateful.

I have checked measurements and weight limits, plus towing ability and am well within. Just want people's tips.

Also its a wooden floor with no rubber matting.. would you
- Buy matting
- Lay bedding down?

- Either way I would regularly check the floor!!

Sorry never had one but with regards to the floor, I have a wooden one with rubber matting and I also put bedding down if going on long journeys to soak up wee.

I have no photos but before she got a lorry my friend used to travel two over 16 hands and a pony of 14 hands in the front, diagonally, with no trouble, towed with a Landrover 110. She still has it - it's a hen house !

I hate rubber mats because you do not know what is happening underneath. I use sawdust (or wet pellets) in my lorry as they are the most absorbent and non-slippery.

Hi years ago i worked for a lady who had one and it was a fab trailer but can't remember what was on the floor sorry , i think i would put mats down .
Also she carried 2 very big hunters with room to spare :)

Both. Rubber matting gets very slippery but I use soaked wood pellets on mine and I prefer the rubber matting over the top of the wooden floor because it helps with noise reduction. I've also added two strips of aluminium chequerplate on top of the wooden floor, front and back, for extra peace of mind and to spread the impact area of stampy horses. The rubber mats aren't fixed but they're a decent depth and stay in place.
