If an old tendon injury flares up again, would the horse be lame completely? Have an ex racer who is not right when the leg with the old tendon injury is on the outside. He trots up sound, is sound on the other rein and this only shows after about 10 to 15 mins work. Have videod him and even though the head nods up and down, there is no sign of lameness in the leg, eg a shorter stride. no real heat or swelling in the leg.
Have only had him 2 weeks and he's not fit at all but have only worked him very gently (he had all the initial work done before but i'm wondering if he came back into work too early?)
Could this be the tendon injury, or is it likely to be something else altogether?
