Old tests with same number...Grrrrrrr

Follow up to post on calling dressage tests(madhector...please read!)Have you ever learnt a test like P14, watched the two or three in before you, thought.."Hang on a mo..this is not the same test I learned..."only to find that P14 1997 is now P14 2007 and COMPLETELY different!!!!! Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaagh Why can't they just give new tests a new number? Hell, there's a whole load of numbers out there...not exactly limited!!!

I find it really annoying when the organisers dont put the date of the test on the entry form!

Yeah but they do tend to use all current tests! And it is 2008!

I agree they have lots of choice for numbers and reusing an old one is confusing and pointless!

All the BD tests were completely revamped in 2002 and the numbering changed. So any test with a date earlier than 2002 is redundant.

Whilst there is scope for 20 tests per level, at some point an old number has to be reused - and P14 was not used again until 2006.

The list of current tests is in the Rule book, which is available on line at the BD site, or at sites such as Dressage Diagrams.
