Some of you might remember my post a while ago about me having my horses at a yard, finding out that the person didnt have the deeds to the place and the farmer (owner) threatening to spray the fields.

Since then the farmer has sprayed the fields, hes also got some kind of order that livestock does not go into his fields and is progressing with court proceedings.

Really glad i moved my horses! Anyway old YO is now hounding me for my last livery bill, the farmer has told me that i am not to pay it as he has no right to take money from me. Also he is not claiming to be a livery yard to the authorities.

I offered to give the money to the farmer who refused to take a penny, he said i should see it as compensation for being stuck in the middle and the hassle I went through.

I know the farmer is in the right, he showed me a large file of all the court proceedings etc, and my own solictor backs up that he is the legal owner.

The ex YO is hounding me for money, i mean texts and phone calls everyday, also calling at my house and new yard!

Can anyone suggest what i can say to him to get him to leave me alone
 
Quite simple. He is harrasing you. Tell him if he continues then you will have no choice but to contact the police. Also get a letter sent to him from your Solicitor saying you are considering legal action against him for the harrassment and an injuction to make sure he stays away.

Boy, I bet you are glad you moved when you did. Especially as the YO lied through his/her teeth about owning the land. How much do you owe the YO? I assume that up until you found out about them not actually owning the land, you were paying them for livery? As they were charging you for something that they were not entitled to, it might be worth finding out if you have a case to get your money back! See a solicitor on a fixed fee interview to see where you stand. I have a feeling that if you threaten them with trying to get your money back, they might well back off very promptly. What a mess - thank goodness your horses are off the land and I have to say that I think the fact that you approached the farmer in the first place was the right thing to do, as he seems to have been very fair towards you.
 
I love the new yard, my horses are a lot more relaxed as ive also since found out that they were getting punched by some of the men!

I just wish that they would all leave me alone. His daughter is trying to stay in touch with me but she is the bitch from hell, telling me what i can and cant do with my horses.

Shes telling everyone that when the foals are born, shes coming over whether i like it or not
 
The farmer has been great to me, he said he really feels for me as i was in a right mess over the horses. At the time he offered me a few fields as a go between (free of charge).

Ive paid right up until i found out, the farmer has taken my old livery receipts to try get the money back for me, im not stupid i know he also wants them to prove hes got a livery there. However i dont care, he was making me risk my horses.

Im totally gutless, i wanted to text the ex YO and tell him that way, everyone says phone him but i dont want to talk to him as i know he will start arguing

Get to that Solicitor hun, she cannot come over and see your foals just cos she wants to. If you dont want contact then tbh you really dont need to have contact. You poor thing, thank god you moved when you did. I would punch the lights out of anyone who thumped my horses.

Edited to add: DONT contact him... let your Solicitor do it. Anything you do could be seen as inflammatory to the situ.
 
Thanks everyone, i thought once i moved i could start living life with the horses, but they always seem to want to contact me and i just cant seem to shake them off.

It was getting to the stage i was just going to give him the money to get him to leave me alone.

Told new YO i dont want them here, shes back with her ex again and he said he wont let them in the gate!
