Just after other people's experiences.
We have a 13 yr old Italian Spinone. She's full of lumps and bumps, on soloxin for a dicky thyroid but is cheery in herself. Eats fine, always drunk a lot of water. The last year or so she's had the odd accident, which we put down to old age. Wasn't ever frequent. Never any blood visible and all other signs normal.
Today she's had 2 accidents. They've always been whilst she's asleep, so she's unaware of it happening. Whilst awake she asks to go outside when she needs to and does wee normally with no pain or straining.
The wee that leaks out is not smelly at all and quite dilute. Tonight I have hot a sample of normal wee when she popped out an hour ago and we will be heading to the vets first thing.
My initial thought was kidney issues. Anyone who read my posts from 3 weeks ago will know both dogs were hospitalised and on iv fluids for 2 days after a suspected metacam overdose. All bloods came back normal and vet unconcerned and thinks most of it prob went in the carpet!
Also, this isn't a new problem, just brought to our attention as its happened twice in one day.
I guess her routine has changed as she can no longer go for the long walks we used to as she's a bit old and creaky now, So maybe she's not emptying as much or as often.
Just after other people's experiences really, I know she's an old dog and won't be around much longer but I can't think about that without my eyes stinging!
Sorry it's turned into an essay!
