Older horse coughed up clear fluid/mucus

Hi

I've posted in veterinary - but theres not many [people in there, so wondering if any of you lovely lot have and advice/knowledge of this?

(oh, and just phoned Vet, they're coming out in about 2 weeks anyway for vaccinations - but would appreciate any info anyone has)

My horse did this when he fell ill with a COPD related illness (which was contagious and given to him from another horse ). I don't think it's anything to worry about, unless he is coughing ?
He's probably just getting rid of all the gunk and dust in his system

No coughing at all, she's stabled during the day and out at night, never ever hear her cough,

I don't think it's anything to worry about unless she is coughing (which apparently she isn't). The ground may be dusty and she's probably just clearing out her sinuses.

my thoughts too - just worry about the old girl sometimes! I think I'll have a look at supplements that help to clear mucus and see what the vet thinks. if it was great clods of thick mucus I'd call the vet immediately, but with it being clear i wasnt sure what was best to do...
