is anyone having a go??

I'm going to Duckhurst next sunday to do the open age 2'3 - i'm too scared to do the bigger one and my pony is only 13.1 so we are playing safe

I'm doing a warm up at longwood this weekend hope it goes well as ive never done indoor XC before!

I did the one at Bishop Burton and it was a bit of a let down. The main problem was they used a 20x 60 arena (of which half the lights didn't work). We did D1, it wasn't up to size and was designed more for ponies .But it could just be the venue and hopefully will be better for you.

Hope all goes well

I went to the one at hartpury college and was very dissapointed to find that it wasn't in the new large arena, so all the jumps were crammed in to the small old one. The warmup was also in a small arena and was choc full of horses, which wasn't great!

To be fair though it was good fun and the jumps were fab and I am still going to the next one.

well done sarah!

oh dear sorry you guys didnt have good experiences! for £18 entry or whatever it was you'd expect it to be good!! the centre im going to is very good and has a nice indoor arena so just hoping the course will be good!

I hope you have a really good time

I went to the one at Berkshire college and won C1 and just tipped a pole in D1 and came 8th

If you pony is straight and not spooky you wont have any problems but if you have a disliking of skinny fences you may have some problems! Only me and one other person went clear in C1 and only 7 people went clear in D1 - so i wouldnt say it was easy, though i did manage to do it on a 16hh 6 year old who had never previously seen any kind of eventers challenge in her life before - it is possible!!

Really good luck and have loads of fun!

I'm coming to watch that as my friend is doing it and I would have been if Flash wasn't still lame, so hopefully will meet you there and cheer you on

I'm hoping to go to the next one at Royal Leisure in Nov, though not sure if it's still on as I picked up a printed schedule the other day from my feed store and the Nov Royal Leisure date wasn't in there.

Good luck at Duckhurst. Might come and watch if Chilham ODE is cancelled.

The november date isnt there for Royal Leisure as it was scheduled to be in september but it was postponed until the november date - therefore it was not printed in the schedule

the november date for royal leisure is now saturday 10th november:)
could anyone tell me when the final is please?
i reallllly wanted to go to the duckhurst one but have team sj at golden cross:(

vicky1986: I might be going to the Duckhurst one. Which classes are you doing?

If I can't make it there, was going to go to Royal Leisure in Nov. It's a bit of a trek for me and I've only been to RL once years ago, got completely lost all round the lanes and then found it by accident, so will get proper directions this time!

Sash: I emailed the person running it a few weeks ago and asked where and when the final is as I might go and watch. She replied that it was supposed to be at BCA (Berkshire College) at the end of Nov but they're closed due to FMD so she didn't at that moment in time know where and when it was going to be!

I'm going to Duckhurst one with a friend who is doing it, she's doing the D1, shes taking her bay, about 15.2hh with blue xc colours (I assume you do it in xc stuff or don't you?)
