Olney saddlery??

Is this no longer around? Someone recommeded their dressge saddle to me, went to do a search for their catalogue adn it comes up with derby house, did they buy them out?

I wonder if they still do the same saddle then?? Might give them a ring, their website doesn't come up with many saddles at all except for the wintecs.

I would look else where they are simply not as good and have gone very 'down market'. They supposedly bought out Olney as a 'flagship' shop rather like the original Derby house but they have just made it awful, they are the same people who used to be CAM equestrian and they were so rubbish that they went bust. I would not trust them with my money especially if you read some of the posts on here about them being not very reliable. Ok if you can get to the shop but otherwise be careful.

I saw the people who used to own Olney Saddlery at Burghley on a saddle stand in the world of the horse exhibition so they are still doing saddles

When DH came to fit my saddle they bought an Olney saddle for me to try, so I think they're still making the individual brands.

They have a large stock on the top floor of old Olney saddles. Don't know it they are making new ones any more though.

It was such a shame that they got bought out by DH. Olney were brilliant when they were independent. Now they are just another DH and carry the same boring stuff that all the other DHs do. Shame.

It is a shame, as I used to love DB but now, you look on the website and it basically the same as Robinson's.

I shop at Frogpool Manor, if I want something decent.
