Hi all,

im a newbie here, I followed without registering for a while, but am desperate to get some tickets to Olympia to watch the puissance on the 18th for my birthday.

have seen the groupon posts, but these don't cover that date? (I may be wrong?)

Can anyone help me get my hands on tickets please?? Are there any sites selling tickets? I know it sold out ages ago so not holding out any hope.

Thanks

ok, yup that's a big difference. Has anyone seen them cheaper anywhere else? searched this forum and there was a groupon deal, but don't think it was for the 18th, want to see the wall as never been before.

they look like a great place to have tickets, not sure if I can get that much £ to pay.....or ask for £ for my Christmas and birthday!

is the shopping good?

Shopping is shopping; that might just be a typical male response though!

Always plenty of women walking around with too many bags for one person to easily carry, so I guess it is good.

The arena has pretty good seating. Any of the 'top price seats' (first 10 rows around the ring) will offer a pretty decent view and there are TV screens for visual reinforcement of the action.

Thanks Doug! shopping, when horsey shopping is THE BEST!!! im sure you would enjoy if you only carried a pint of beer around! ;-)

Those tickets on ebay are for 3rd row back where the wall will be so I think it sounds a perfect place to be. im soooo tempted! is anyone going that night? is it worth the money? ive heard its really Christmassy?

aaaarrrrhhh!!

Jeez that's some mark up !! I've been to the puissance at Olympia for the last three years. I wouldn't say it was worth that kind of money to be honest - why not be a bit more prepared next year & get some tickets when they go on sale? You can get tickets for the Sunday morning performance for £10 that'll also get you in to the shopping area. :)

Doug - it's not Olympia until you've nearly been poked in the eye with a schooling whip someone has bought!

I personally would be very careful about purchasing these as it is obvious which seats they are and potentially they may be worthless as reselling the tickets is forbidden under the terms and conditions .

I've been every year for the past 5 years and tbh I wouldn't go to watch the puissance again, i'd rather watch it from home on TV, you see far more and close up detail.
I do love the speed stakes and the christmas cracker which is on Friday evening and we're going to that this year, you see far more and i find it a lot more exciting! :)

Aarrrggghhhh, yes!! Ha ha ha

Why do people wait until they are in the centre of London at a crowded show to buy a sodding lunge whip?!

Now I just NEED to go and buy a lunge whip! It will be ideal to have on a packed underground late at night!

Just seen more tickets added to ebay.... gawd, im soooooooo tempted, these are cheaper as not members ones and front row so seems a better deal?: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261679566038?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649

Those are balcony tickets - a good view but from high up and the lowest price tickets to buy.

We love Olympia - we have been every year for the last 9 years, it's become a bit of a Christmas tradition for me and my daughter.

In that time, the shopping has gone downhill IMO. It used to be full of horsey bargains but over the last couple of years the bargains and few and far between, and there are a lot more trade stands of non-horsey items. We now go to Your Horse in November for the shopping and then Olympia for the performances and the Christmas-y-ness (and any last minute shopping).

Having been on various nights I have to say the puissance is my least favourite. As someone else said, you get a much better view on TV. And the resale prices of those tickets on Ebay are outrageous!

I know someone who organises trips (we got ours for the Wednesday for £45 each incl coach) so if I hear of any last minute tickets going spare I will let you know as they organised trips for the Wednesday dressage, puissance and the last day.

Hmmmm. Both lots of tickets with links displayed here go to the same seller. I've been around HHO a long time,so forgive if this seems a bit cynical but could this be an undercover advert by any chance? :D
