I thought the coverage was excellent (and so long!); looking forward to the rest of the week.

Oh. . . . and by the way . . . . if anyone's stuck for a present for me . . . . please may I have one of the scrumptious grey Lusitanos. . . . . (I'm still drooling, I hope they're on every night . . . . )

I thought it was brill as well. Telly's sorted for the week hubby is sulking big time. Why did Ellen Whittaker win that trophy at the end though as she had 2 down in the first round? Was it for something else?

Nicked from H & H site :

The Whitaker name was back up in lights at the end of the performance when Ellen Whitaker received the Raymond Brooks-Ward Memorial Trophy, given in memory of the show's founder to a young rider in any discipline who shows the most Olympic potential.

Ellen was presented with the trophy straight after the presentation to Michael Whitaker for the big competition (they did the lap og honour together) and the Lusitanos were in the finale. I watched it on on Eurosport and the coverage didn't end until after the finale (11pm-ish)

Ooooh my parents are having a party and some of my friends are coming - I know what we'll be doing, cool people that we are.
