Wondering if any of you lovely peeps could help - we are coming up to London on Wednesday for the dressage at Olympia - we normally make a break of it and stay for a couple of nights so normally park at the hotel - unfortunatly my very elderly dog is not well and I don't feel i can leave him with anyone else for a couple of days as he is quite high maintence and would not be fair on friends so we are going to whizz up for the evening only - but where can we park ?? Any ideas ?? YThank-you !!

on the olympia site there's a link to the car parking... you have to book in advance. I don't think I'd want to drive up without having booked.

Have you looked at trains as another options? The rail links into Olympia are really good

Car parking at Olympia although they say it's pre booking when you try to book they say it's a first come first served system !! Have looked at trains and apart from costing the price a small house ! if we caught the last train back at 10.30pm we would arrive at our local station at 7.15am the next morning !! ;-) plus the fact OH has a company car and paid fuel !! just wanted to know of any back up parking from locals or regulars !!

I tried to book mine today and apparently there full!!! So were going to go by train as im only in Windsor so not to far really. The other option you have to to drive most the way and park at a close train station and and just train the last bit.

Yes there is an NCP carpark literally next to the stadium, think it is about £20 for the evening (it was last year on the kur evening) fine to get in, however took us over an hour to get back out, it was awful x

For evening parking you can often get lucky cruising around the residential streets next to Olympia. Have never paid yet doing this! Given 10/15 mins of carefully driving round there you can usually park within a short walk. Worth at least a check before you use your spending money on car parking!

Ok but make sure to park in the pay and display bays and not the residents' permit bays if you're going to do this!!

One of the perils of living in London....

If you go to hammersmith & fulham or kensington and chelsea borough websites and have a look they should have the parking zone maps there so you can find out what time you can park on the yellow lines/how much pay & display costs.

There is a big NCP car park right by Olympia, turn in & drive down past Olympia with train station on your right, its straight ahead. If thats full, if you have sat nav with parking option, there is a little car park just up the road underneath the hotel there, we parked there last year & was fine. I have never prebooked parking & always been ok. Have a great time!
