Does anyone know what that strap is that the Belgian horse has got behind its saddle?

Oh and MT is at it again "calm as a cucumber" apparently

I was wondering that too! A friend says the horse is a stallion and it is protection for his stallion parts?!!

Looks like a buck strap!

I read an article a couple of weeks ago (if it's the same horse) that said his 'bits' made him uncomfortable when jumping!

Miles Jess - out of sheer interest, the front 2 straps go either side to the saddle, does the one other strap attach to a crupper, or how does it do up? :)

Well I guess it's more comfortable than banging your bits on a pole. a friend who used to SJ a stallion said he always had to get the stride exactly right or the horse would stop or dip out as he was very protective of his bits so wouldn't try to help you out if you got it wrong!
It doesn't look very comfortable. A bit like a G string.
