Olympic Cross Country 1936!

Stunning! (Quite literally, in the case of a few of those falls)- some seriously impressive bits of horsemanship in there as well, and some very brave horses!
 
They liked their rails in mini valleys didn't they? It's interesting to see there seems to be the same ratio of good riding vs kick and pray as there is nowadays. (sorry that is a very questionably constructed sentence).
 
It's very interesting! You guys should watch part 2 as well, if you haven't already. A very tricky water jump!

Also, the one in part 1 at 3:00 reminds me so much of Ned :P He does exactly the same if he doesn't want to go forwards!
 
Fab! No hard hats, body protectors, gadgets, boots and the saddle nearest the door that morning.

Bloke gets thrown into ditch, bloke climbs out of ditch and remounts, bloke carries on.
Brilliant.
