It sure would, TBH you would never know there were equestrian events at the Olympics unless you were already interested in them, cos there is never any mention of anything on the highlights spot, or on the news. Even the ' whats coming up today' slot never mentions equestrianism.
It seems a big opportunity missed as far as PR goes.
The only time we've had a mention is because Tina Cook won her bronze.

there has been much discussion about horse sport and PR on this site in recent weeks, perhaps after the games their deficencies will be addressed?

Yes, I think its fair to say some quarters definitely need a reality check
( am thinking BSJA ). For whatever resons the Olympic presentation this year has been a disaster. The pinnacle of most people's career and a major opportunity to put jumping on people's radar and what do we have, lame horses, unfit riders and todate no medals. If they don't do better at 2012 there's little hope. I can't imagine big investing owners pouring huge sums in indefinitely with little / no return no matter how much they love the sport. They need a huge rethink and to be honest I think the only way they can move forward is to introduce some people that know how to run a business and aren't afraid of getting the old guard rattled.

Come on lets be honest - why would you show equestrianism on the highlights. They only have so much TV time and as Team GB as a whole has been superb in every other discipline apart from riding I think it is right that they have been highlighting all the medal winners.

i wasnt talking about the BBC and i dont really think LHS was either. their coverage has been fine. But you are not going to agree with anything i say Diesel and frankly i wish you would not comment on my comments, as you seem to be provoking when you do.

For goodness sake why don't you grow up? This is the Horse and Hound Forum I am actually allowed to comment on threads it is not Lucretin Online. This seems to be your standard response when someone posts something you don't agree with, just because you are useless at putting your point across you resort to bullying tactics - should I be expecting another abusive PM of you?
