I watched his round and was very uneasy with it and in honesty think the GJ made the right call. I think the unfortunate thing for the rider is that he was choosing to try for his qualification at 5* level when it might not have been necessary to do that. It’s a real shame he won’t be at Paris because he deserves to be there imo, but this isn’t on the GJ

Opinions are like bum holes, everyone has one.
His riding was terrifying last year and he was making bad decisions let alone the amount the poor horse has been run. The horse does say no but not before it looks quite scary.

Bertram Allen has had to withdraw from the Irish Olympic showjumping team due to his horse being injured. His replacement has not yet been named

Bertram was the reserve, it hasn't yet been specified which of the non-travelling reserves will be called up

Darragh Kenny Richard Howley and Eoin Mc Mahon were down as non travelling reserves, the Irish will probably announce the replacement today.
