Anyone else travelling to Greenwich Park from Milton Keynes?

Have got myself all confuzzled with the travel info - the Olympic spectator travel planner seems to be telling me I need to leave the night before to get there?! But the National Rail Olympic site is offering me (worryingly) cheap tickets at much more normal times (it seems to only be £13.60 each return??) which if correct is mighty bargainous!

Anyway - am lucky enough to have tickets to Eventing dressage on the 29th and XC on the 30th, will be travelling down each day due to a) Horse and b) we're only a relatively short commute away.

Anyone else booked trains and can comfort me that I'm not reading it all wrong???

It has successfully wasted 2hrs this afternoon at work ;)

13 sounds right. Have you looked thetrainline.com? They're pretty good for showing all trains and cheapest option.

Not travelling from Milton Keynes but from Reading and agree with you re frighteningly cheap tickets?? When I searched Reading to Greenwich was £6????? Which if you think on a normal day would be minimum of £15 it totally confuddled me

In the end I didnt buy them as was convinced there was some small print somewhere about walking 100 miles or travelling in the drivers compartment???? So still havent sorted my travel plans!

The Olympics train tickets are super cheap - my parents are coming to stay with us (I live in Greenwich) for cross country day and they've booked first class tickets as they were so cheap!!

Use the Olympic site as normal rail tickets probably won't be available yet (which is I suspect why your getting a travel the night before rubbish).

You get a travel card with your ticket so you only need a train ticket to Euston (that's the usual MK London terminus isn't it?)

PS am really excited about the cross country - they've started building the jumps in the park :)

I've tried the train link on the 2012 site and it says it cannot give me a fare. I did ask for the return to be left open.

I've already bought the boat tickets.
