Is the increasing use of omeprazole leading to an increase in fractures?
It is said to be a side effect in human medicine.

Interesting, most of my family are on it, including me on and off. It does say the bone fractures are a risk for long term use and most horses are only on it for a few weeks, whereas I have family members who have been taking it for several years.

I have been on Lansoprazole for 6yrs now and I’ve had some cracking falls, from my spinal damage, that hasn’t broken anything I’m on 45mg daily maybe it’s not that common?
