Horse been on NAF Superflex for a few weeks now. I only put him on it as a maintenence thing for his eventing (ie. he's not stiff or anything).

OMG - my horse is totally different! He was almost loopy today! Raring to go! He's been like this the last few days. Maybe its something else, but I cant see what as nothing else has changed in his diet etc. I can only think its this Superflex. He just feels so agile.

I think NAF deserve some sort of gold medal for this stuff......! Although obviously if horse does not remain like this then I will let you all know it is then NOT the superflex! My only problem is now I feel he may be too much for me to handle for the dressage phases of eventing......!

Well I think it is that, as some of the older horses at our yard were given it and seemed a lot less stuff afterwards more up for whatver you were going to face them with

My old horse went like this when I used Feedmarks Flexamine. It was scary!!! She was normally so quiet but turned into a spooky maniac. I had to take her of it in the end which I suppose was awful really as she must have felt so well.
Different things must work for different horses as Cortaflex vet strength didnt touch her.

What Superflex is it?Is it the liquid or the powder as ive seen there are quite a few....
Cortavet doesnt seem to make any difference for my horse-but then again he isnt lame or particularly arthritic-it was also more of a preventative after an injury...

Mmmm..interesting!!! Could explain why my boy has suddenly remembered that he is in fact a young ex-racehorse after all in the last few weeks !! Thought it was his brewers yeast making him loopy- but could be the superflex, he has been on that for a few weeks now and the yeast has been a few months. He just wants to buck and play!
Mmm- maybe I should put other boy on it as he is dead to the world!

Its the powder. I used cortaflex a few years ago with another horse and it did nothing so thought Id try Superflex.

seabiscuit - funny you should say that, Im thinking seriously about putting my other horse on it too who can be a little lazy, this stuff will perk him up!

Im a little bit panicky about the effect its had on my boy as he's so hyper and bouncy! Excellent for XC, but may now be too strong for SJ and too loopy for dressage..... oh dear!

Mine is on Feedmark Extraflex HA, it really works, he is 20 and a bit stiff in one shoulder, I went from bawling my eyes out thinking he would have to retire to planning another winter of fun with him within 2 weeks of starting him on it!

hiya

i have just started my boy on another course of Naff 5* superflex and this is becuase during a 2 week break from it he went downhill! His clicky hock returned and seems slightly stiff again! (not good for dressage!!)

i agree one of the only supplements to work! Pat on the back to Naff.

I just chose the powder because you can get the bigger tub which then last longer than the bottle. Although some say that liquid is better absorbed or something. I dont think it makes that much difference. The powder is yummy stuff apparently, I was very worried my picky horse wouldnt eat it but actually he loves it and has been eating ALL his feed since!

Bit annoyed it worked in a way because now I have to put my other horses on it....! Going to cost me a fortune!!

My 12 year old point-to-pointer started on cortaflex a few weeks ago and now thinks he's 3! When i went to catch him this morning he decided he didn't feel like going for a hack so he charged round his field bucking and squealing for ten minutes (very uncharacterisic for him). When i finally caught him he looked very pleased with himself and when i rode him he was very bouncy. It's good to see him like that as last year he could barely move when you first got on him and he also used to dip his back when you got on. That's stopped as well.
You never know, maybe i'll get a win out of the old boy this coming season! (then again, maybe not) I think some supplements probably work better on different horses, but i still think it's nice to see them feeling well in themselves.

he's forward going and well behaved coming back into work after 4 years retirement, but if this stuff can make him feel good its worth a try
