OMG cant believe this, sick!!!

Whilst I don't condone his actions, he is 86 years old and frail, I can quite see why he could not bring the horse down by himself. The horse otherwise looks well looked after, stupid most certainly but there are much much worse cases of cruelty sadly, he does seem genuinely sorry but mostly confused tbh.

yes agree after seeing the video, i only saw the picture first of the horse on the ground behind the pick up, then i found the video, did actually feel a bit sorry for him, but in saying that it was a pretty stupid thing to do, but he does seem to care about the horse :-/
difficult situation.

i agree, it was a stupid thing to do, but i do not think he meant any harm. im not condoning his actions and i hope he is offered some help to look after his horse.she looks like she is well looked after usually.

I havent seen the video, cant get it to work properly, however i've seen this happen very locally to me - the Gypsies regularly tie their 'trotters' to the back of their cars and drag them along (not at speed) but down hill - normally back to where they teather them - which is horrible to watch, I've reported them numerous times, but never been able to get a photo of it happening (not really wanted to draw attention to me doing it - we have some not so nice people in our local travelling community - we also have some very pleasant and lovely travellers - for balance!) and of course they always tell the police they havent done it...

agree with others ... thoughtless yes, intentionally abusive or cruel probably not. Big mare wanting access to stallion would not be wanting to leave ..... and hes 86 and looks frail. Even the other fella said he did not want to get involved with her and he looked far younger and bigger ! Don't know how fast he was going, might have been very slow and she slipped on the gravely road while trying to get back to stallion. ?

My sister has a pony with a dent in his crest from being 'led' from a tractor. :( The owner (farmer with no horse background) like the one in the article HAD to move him and didn't know/think of another way.

The farmer won the little stallion as a colt in a raffle!
