Just found, quite by accident a previously unseen bit of footage of 2004.. lots of short clips, but if you are interested and patient... just after the tractor is doing the arena you can clearly here the announcer saying Glamour 11.....I was watching closely and recognised the way she hung her tail...Oh how sad and happy all at once....

She is about half an inch on the moving bar....You see the opening ceremony, then a broad scan of site, a girl being hoisted onto her horse followed by the tractor then, and be quick, Dol coming into the arena, then the Grade 1 freestyle.
Its very short but oh so sweet!!

I watched that clip so many times, once with my head right next to the speakers, before I spotted her! I was just about to reply and the post went!

The Para Dressage never fails to amaze me, I wish I could get my horse to go as well as they do.
Was Dol a Grade 1 horse? She must have been truely amazing

What a find for you!

I can understand how you feel - the other day when cleaning out the tackroom I came across some photographer's proofs of Cat & I doing cross country. They were tiny & just printed on plain A4. I must have stolen the display sheet, and I'm so glad I did. Quite a surprise to come across him with a smile on his face, at his best.

She had the Argentinian rider who was/is grade 3. He had a paralysed left hand and half a right leg. Rode her in a double onto a bar which he held. He came over to try her for a weekend and then they had 9 or 10 days together in Athens before comp started. They ended up 10th overall.

I remeber seeing Lee Persons competing against able bodied people, in the PSG. Blue Circle Boy (was that the duns name?) came off the lorry looking as sharp as hell, I wouldn'tof fancied getting up there! I think he won the class, I was just in awe!

He's quite a rider and quite a horse too. After they had had their Gold medal ceremony, the naughty horse piaffed out of the arena. Lee waved his hands for us to make more noise so he'd piaffe more....

Aw Hils that's lovely - so bitter-sweet for you - It doesn't seem like two mins ago when you flew out there!

So sad that she's no longer with us - she was a lovely horse!
(also - must say thanks for bringing back such happy memories of Markopaulo EC - gosh I wish I was heading back there again someday soon! LOL!!)
