Out hacking today and Patches sees some horses go around the round-a-bout ahead of her. They went our way.

She jogged and danced her way along the road to catch up with them. I could hold her, but she had a tantrum and did the most amazing display of showing off I've ever known Patches to do. It was all very exciting and too much fun for her.

Not very embarrassing, I hear you say.....




It was.....especially when you consider the two horses were pulling a hearse with a coffin on and there was a procession of tear stained eyes in the following cars all distracted by my muppet of a horse.

The usher in the following car, which had all the flowers in it, was smiling. I said I was so sorry but she wanted to join their horses.

He replied, "You'll have to dye her first"

At least, I think he meant dye her black to match and not die her. It's open to varing interpretations isn't it?

I was trying so hard not to laugh at her and was busy going along with a sort of "respectful nod" every few seconds!

It was quite comical, but so very wrong somehow.
