I was driving to the stables today(about 2miles away), when the whole sky went white, like lightening, but then 30 secs later turned blue. Well I thought I was going mad and was seeing things, but we I got to the stables everything was in darkness.
It turns out the power line on our yard blew up
My friend was catching her horse in at the time and thought she was going to die. As you can imagine the horses were hiding at the oposite end of the field, it took 10mins to bring them in (past the offending power line).
Then the electricians arrived and after 30mins decided to try turning it back on, I think he was winding us up a bit, but told us we should move our cars incase of any debris
So we hid in our cars around the corner and the whole thing starting huming and the sky turned white, then they switched it off again. So now they are bringing a generator to power everything. Poor horses have got to go past it to the field and its going to be the size of a horse box apparantely
