... of the young horse which was found dead in Sussex.

I was searching for some information on Hoofbeat Magazine's website whereby I found some utterly horrendous pictures....I had to turn my head away and move to close the article.

How could a human just do that!!!!!!! RIP little horsey.

Horrendous pictures- I just can't even begin to fathom what on earth would inspire someone to do such a hideous act of cruelty! Really makes me angry and upset. Even if they did catch the people who did this they would probably only get a few weeks prison and a tap on the hand.

Poor wee thing, what the hell goes on inside the mind of someone who can do that to an animal?
Unfortunately the law is so lenient on such acts, its no deterrent, hell a shop lifter would get a heavier punishment and the crime hardly compares x

God, that is truly horrific. Whoever can do that to an animal is gone in the head and sick. It sent shivers down my spine looking at those photos.

Rest in peace little chap.

You can do murder and walk out in four months. What court gives a shyte about a decent sentence for this? Deterrent is a laugh!!

Utterly beyond belief that anyone with whatever so-called religious or quasi semi-religious beliefs they have could do that in this day and age here. RIP poor poor horse. What I can't understand though is how they managed to inflict those injuries without the horse attempting to break away, run off, etc - would they have sedated it in some way first as it would take a few people to restrain a young horse like that? And also I know it was probably done at night but I'm just astonished that no-one saw or heard anything.

Sick freaks how the hell anyone do that to any living thing is beyond any comprehension. Unfortunatly even if caught the British justice system is such a joke that nothing would happen to them anyway.

If there wasnt much blood, I'm guessing it was dead when they started mutilating it.
Certainly the head/neck thing would have bled out a lot if it were still alive

They said there was very little blood, which suggests post-mortem mutilation, and the wounds visible on the photos confirm this. I think the police are taking this very seriously and having seen the photos I can understand why. Mutilation at this level is not something most people are able to do, both in terms of surgical ability and emotional ability. The perpetrator is a dangerous person by definition.

The mutilation is so disturbing. I find the scary thing about it is that it was premeditated and carried out so carefully :( I hope the poor baby didnt suffer :(
The mutilation itself sends chills through me. What motivation is there to do what this *person* did. And why? Just sick. If that was an animal of mine I would never get over it :(

They should lock up people that do this and throw away the key. If they can do that to an innocent animal, I can't even imagine what they are capable of doing to a person :(

I know it sounds sick but has anyone got the link? If this is the one i'm thinking about it's not that far from my yard

I cannot describe how physically sick that has made me feel...how can any human being do such a thing? why, wtf??????? why would one want to do that?? why keep 4 chestnuts, an ear, and part of the animals penis?? sick sick sick sick

Anybody who is capable of doing that to an animal can easily murder a human IMO. That is seriously sick!! I'm getting worried because there seems to be a lot of horse targeting in my area atm :(

I find this post very sad.

We have already been told by someone involved in the case that the owners did not want to know the extent of the harm done to their horse and a request was made to respect that by keeping speculation to a minimum - and now we find that details are openly available on the internet. We live in a sad, media saturated world. :(:mad:

RIP poor horse.
