OMG!!! I might have a new Labrador by tomorrow.....

I have just had a phone call from the Labrador Rescue - they are going to see a dog tonight that sounds perfect - if he is he will be coming here tomorrow!!!

Fingers crossed......

I am excited and nervous - have told Sweep and he is sleeping on the sofa......

All I know at the moment is that he is 16/18 months old, castrated, dog friendly/socialised, housetrained etc Is being rehomed as the couple are divorced and husband has kept him but works in London so dog keeps getting moved around to stay with friends and family. He is about to go on holiday and dog is off to kennels so the Lab Rescue want to bring him straight to me (if he passes the dog friendly test!) so he doesn't have to go to kennels! Man only phoned last night and was in tears as dog is his best friend but knows its not fair on dog.

I might give my mum's local lab rescue a ring tonight and bend their ears gently - no point in nagging mum to get in touch with them if they're going to say no straight off but could work out nicely...

The people you would need to speak to are The Labrador Rescue Trust - their website is www.labrador-rescue.com and find you local area co-ordinators and speak to them.
