I went to see a horse yesterday that sounded ideal.
First checks over him were good, he caught well, groomed nicely and stood rock still for tacking up and mounting.
After seeing the woman ride him she suggested I hop on and we go for a mooch.
Fine thought I we'll just go for a short walk - yep we did - down a 60 mile an hour road.
I was absolutely bricking it - the horse however was an angel. Other than gawping about a bit he didn't bat an eyelid - if I'd have taken Sid down there he'd have gone nuts.
We had one nervous moment when he caught sight of his "friend" up ahead on the farm lane on the way home and tried to canter after him but other than that was a star.
I'm going to see him again but I can't beleive I trusted a horse on a road like that. I HATE HATE hacking in traffic and was as tense as hell but he was so calm.
Maybe its fate?
