Didn't notice at the time but my poor feet are SOOOO sore now I've taken my boots off at home. Just behind the toes on that fat bit of your foot - mine's gone all red and swollen. Hurts like hell. I've bathed them, put talc on and some fluffy slippers but HOW am I going to carry on tomorrow?????

Jeeze I only walked two miles. My feet feel like I've run a blo**dy marathon

*Grumbles..... only fit for the knackers yard.....*

Welcome to the wonderful world of long reining, don't you just love it! ;)

Yes, you certainly need a good choice of footware for the job and some good comfortable socks, to soak up the moisture and prevent friction burns/blisters.

Yeah... I'm on Amazon now looking for a pair of decent trainers and extra insoles. Hopefully for next day delivery!

I long reined donovan on tuesday, walked for about a mile, which is a very long way for me and my back. Got home and was havng a back spasm so thought I would just sit for 5 mins. Husband got home almost an hour later with me almost in tears cos I was stuck and very desperate for a wee!!!

I've just bought a dogs'-danglies pair of walking trainers off Amazon. Since my 9 year old has pinched my only pair of trainers for PE at school, guess the purchase can be justified. Well, just about  And I've bought PINK ones this time so he's not tempted to nick these ones as well :D

That said, now I'm sat down I'm really starting to stiffen up. Just moved from my chair and the muscles at the front of my ankles are aching like hell. Bloody hell, at this rate I won't be able to move tomorrow - Let alone continue long-reining the baby! Mind you, every cloud has a silver lining or so they say; six weeks of this and I'll a lot thinner and a lot fitter [Or just dead!]

No pain.... no gain. UGH...
