Feeling really really sad although I'm 90% certain I made the right choice. Anyone know if it is possible to go and change the pictures on Horsemart at a later date as I've got a really nice one coming off a mate's laptop...??

anyway, here is the advert, let me know what you think!

Reassurance needed here from others that have sold horses they love because they know in their hearts the horse isn't the right one for the job...
thanks!

The pictures aren't very clear, and there is no photo which shows the entire horse - I would wonder if she has problem with her hind legs.
You could also do with a full side-on untacked picture to give an idea of her confirmation.

thanks - that is good to know, I just chose my favourite pics not really thinking about what a buyer would see! I will see if I can dig out some that show her confirmation better.

Agree that the 2nd and 3rd pics aren't the best, i'd want to see a side-on flatwork shot showing she'll work nicely, and a stood-up properly conformation shot. neither of those 2 photos do her justice imho, or show the buyer very much.

i sold my beloved first-bred mare a few years ago via horsequest, because she wouldn't stand up to eventing any more. i found the most wonderful home for her, they absolutely adore her, they'll never ask too much of her, she's valued for what she is (perfect schoolmistress, no jumping allowed) and she's not upsetting me for what she can't do, if that makes sense.
i let mine go on a month's trial so that people can be absolutely sure that the horse is perfect for them, cos if so, i think it ensures a good home for it.
with my mare, i've offered a no-quibble buy-back at an any time agreement too. that way, i can sleep at night! they let me know periodically how she's doing, and how over the moon they still are with her. *hugs* there are perfect homes out there, honestly.

Thanks everyone, I will try to get some much better pics.

I'm selling her because I want to event. Although she's nice, she doesn't have the mentality to settle to the dressage. She can work in an outline but she doesn't settle reliably and she gets super excited in competition- she is more of a XC/Jumping pony tbh. She is the best thing I've ever ridden XC by far

I got to the stage with her where I feel we are constantly arguing. I want her to have a jumping home with someone that wants to have fun and not get all intense and focussed on perfect flatwork like I do

.

I would pop her on PC website maybe? Sounds ideal teenage horse for mother and daughter?

thanks for you words of support BTW. I know I'm making the right decision but it is hard. I'm glad the owners still keep in touch with you about how your mare is getting on - I hope this happens to me!
