Got a letter from BD this morning! Sirena and I have qualified for the Elementary Freestyle Regionals - can't believe it!

Well done to both of you! Is this your first time?

I've qualified for the Novice regionals this year for the first time. I got my letter a few days ago and I'm already really excited!

Which one are your going to?

No, classes.

Rhiannon has qualified for four classes at the Winter Reg, so I'll wait to see how they put the classes on the schedule if you see what I mean.

I need to minimise the time spent away from home, or more realistically, sleeping in the trailer in February! I'd rather go to a venue that has my classes split over two days back to back rather than one where the classes are over three days or worse still, two days with a day inbetween.

Think we are only doing DTM and prelim regional, see what you mean if they are on different days.
Is there anywhere in the country that is easy.lol.
I bet the two things we have qualified already for at Hartbury will be one at the beginning and one at the end!

Ahh good point -see you at Addington!!

Mind you is she doing Novice or Elem freestyle? I'm just doing novice freestyle.

LOL!!! I am going to skegness to do mine!!!!!!!

Dont worry Jo C I am doing elem. restricted and elem. music!! There are some very good horse and rider combinations doing the Regionals so I am saying my prayers every night now like a good girl, also asking my friend to chant like crazy!!! I would sooooo love to go to Gloucester, albeit it is a loooooooooong drive, for those of you who are already going you are very very lucky.... it is a state of the art place and you will enjoy it sooooooo much....

I have to change my music now though as my comments were "too much lyrics"...... so bought an i-pod in USA and scouring the CD's.....will still have some lyrics in though... maybe a "Do Whop de do" here and there!!!!!!!

Sorry thought you were doing novice music, that's one not to worry about.Wish they did restricted and open or a prelim ,never mind we will do our best. Would love to know what's on ,on which day at Hartbury[really looking forward to it, winters ,I think are more fun than summers and a lot more classes]

No need to be sorry!!! Are you using your same music or changing it?? I am only changing because of the comments, and reflecting back on the video, I suppose there were just a few too many lyrics..... but I still want do whop 1950's tunes as they are so upbeat and give the audience something to tap their feet too!!! I have looked at Big band stuff too, but as usual, I wanted to be different!!

Yes, Winters were fun and the organizers were fab and very helpful......at the regionals I am taking a heater though this time..... FROZE last time and had to keep going to the loo to warm my hands up in the toilet, well not literally, I mean the dryer!!! Sunday is elem. restricted but Music is on Monday so hubby may have to leave me on my own on Sund eve........ EKKKK!!!... may have to twist Hazel's arm to stay and help me!!!

Yes, now we have new trot music, we love our music, but think that will be a really tough one to qualify for even at novice and it does depend on what the judge likes a bit.I'm sure if they start to get loads of people doing it they will introduce other music levels. My friend qualified at elementary but not novice and has since had a letter to say she has qualified, novice, because the ones above her had already qualified, she came 5th!
Not sure which one to go to yet

well done! im going to patchetts as its the only one i can do-i would loved to have gone to addington as i think the facilities r fab there now theyve had the indoor extended

To be honest what with everything lately I will just be happy to get there. I found out today that it is unlikely the insurance will pay out for Patrick so I have to find about £1400 to pay the vet bills and I still have no remedy for the weezing/coughing so I will just be happy to turn up to the regionals with a healthy horse as it all seems a bit unlikely at the moment! I am going to use the same music I think.
