As the title suggests really. I applied for the Ladies Charity Sweepstake that was in the news banner 2 weeks ago. I have been chosen as one of the 12!!!!!!!!!!

I will be setting up a website to take donations for Cancer Research UK,and hopefully you lovely people will be able to support a fellow HHOer (and share in my trials and tribulations in preparation for THE BIGGEST OCCASION in my life) btw even my husband admitted that it was a bit exciting!
Any donation is gratefully recieved I have a target of £5000 but would love to raise as much as possible.

Wowee, that is really exciting. Congratulations and good luck, I'm sure it will be the experience of a lifetime

The only thing I've ver done that comes close was doing the 'chase phase at Punchestown which was round the racecourse over those famous fences and I can honestly say it was one of the most exciting things I've ever done - and that was on my own!!!

Oh WOW! Congratulations on getting selected!!!
I am so jealous!!!! When I read about the race I was thoroughly annoyed that there is no Australian equivalent to enter! (perhaps I should organise one...)

Anyway I hope you have a great time preparing, keep us posted on how it goes so that we can live vicariously through you! And good luck with the fundrasing!

PS Is Sovereign your horse? If so that must make it so much cooler! (sorry english vocab. ran out of adjectives)

Seriously exciting. Have ridden at Cheltenham ..... when Cheltenham Show was held on the racecourse!!! Well done in being selected and keep us all posted. Good luck with it.

I am very jealous! Would have loved to have had a go but didn't think I could raise the money in time, especially as I've got another fund-raising venture planned for 2010.

I shall just have to live it vicariously through you, so lots of reports please

. Good luck!

ps. my boss won the Kim Muir Chase there about 20 years ago and is still dining out on it......

Well done!! Thats so exciting. I saw that and decided that me and Av were both kidding ourselves if we would be able to canter up that blimin hill, We would have to stop for a breather and a cup of tea just before the final furlong!! It will be so exciting, good luck! :-)
