Remember my post about whether or not to kick my photography up a gear and take it a little more seriously? Btw, you were all super constructive - thank you.

Anywho - I contacted a local guy (who I happen to be on FB with) to ask him if he would take a look at my stuff and could I shadow him at an event . . . he has come back and said he is looking to take on a new shooter and would I be interested???? I'd be using their equipment - pics would be copyrighted to his firm, but what a fab opportunity.

Next step is to meet up at an event and chat . . . OMG, I have little bubbles in my tummy and the biggest smile on my face :D.

Thanks - although (if this does happen - I don't want to get ahead of myself) this would be something on the side for now . . . evenings and weekends. I would need to keep my day job. But it gets me on the way to the five-year plan (which is when our daughters will be both away at Uni and hubby and I make a serious lifestyle change).

That is brilliant! What a great opportunity this is for you! :D

Isn't it though? Great chance to learn/get some proper experience. Trying not to get ahead of myself though. Need to meet the man and talk it through first.

Thank you though.

P.S. Yes, too many "thoughs" . . .

Good for you! I am currently studying for a Photography degree - not wanting to do equestrian events but I do now and again for friends and its very satisfying when you get the good shots - enjoy but dont let them take advantage of you - make sure your work is recognised and you get paid :D
