OMG SHOCKING BUTCHERY - VERY GRAPHIC PICTURES

This was on the forum a couple of weeks ago (sorry, that isnt meant to be rude or anything, just an observation) - there was a whole load of debate about it then, but cant remember what the outcome was
 
Well that is horrific and very traumatic for the owner but I don't think it adds anything to the anti-horsemeat campaign...it's a criminal act above anything else. Poor guy though, you'd be seriously affected by that.
 

OMG. I feel sick to my stomach. Good God that is the worst thing I've heard & seen in a long time, if not at all.

That poor, poor mare & God knows how her owner must feel. Imagine discovering your horse like that?

I hope they string the b&stards up.

Very gruesome.Not being funny here and asking a geniune question but is there much meat on a horses legs??.The horse seems to be missing all of it's legs!.I know you get a leg of lamb etc but i have never heard of a leg of horse.
 
OMG I cannot believe someone would actually do that, I could not imagin finding my horse in that state, I don't know how you would recover from it TBH.

what i do find "shocking" is people continually finding this "shocking"??

it baffles me TBH...
 
I think people including me find this shocking because as RedVendetta says 'Its unthinkable'

We see starvation, ignorance, brutality etc, even the recent dumping of dead horses was truely awful but not really shocking..... but butchery I find shocking.

I don't find the horsemeat trade shocking. It happens & is not much different to beef/lamb etc. I don't like the live transportation but I don't disagree with horsemeat either. I wouldn't eat it & I wouldn't send a horse of mine to the meat man but it does happen.

What I do find shocking is the fact that this mare was butchered in her field. Her specifically & the dismembered parts left for her owner to find.
She wasn't stolen, she was butchered 'alive' in her field. While her fieldmates were left alone & were there to sense what was happening.

That's what I find shocking.

by the position of her neck/head, i would doubt very much that this pony was alive when it was "butchered"....

be logical..if "you" are going to cut up an animal the size of a small horse ALIVE how would you physically hold it down??
a small army would be needed....
 
OMFG I have seen some things in my time but am truly stunned, sickened and lost for words by this. Not the fact people do eat horses for meat, I eat meat, but that she could have suffered and that anyone remotely calling themselves 'human' could have done this, so sad

I couldnt begin to imagine finding my horse like that,what the poor mare must have endured is beyond anything i could possibly write down!

It doesn't baffle me because I actually do think this is quite horrid and shocking.
FWIW first time I have seen this is today.
Not sure I understand your comment at all JM.
 
The poster just said they hadn't seen it before and didn't know it had been on here before. Not everyone reads every single post yer know and you could choose not to read it. There really is no need to be so rude.
