I have often said on this forum that when I am in my 80's I will become "that woman" - you know the type, tweed skirt, wellies, bridgdale jumper who drives a clapped out Fiesta with two yapping dogs in the back and sells raffle tickets at the hunt meet :o

Please help me - I am getting there already :o

I am here alone tonight (daughter at friends, son at Dad's) and I have just chatted to the dogs as if they were the children :o

"do you want to go out, ok then, I'll come out with you, hang on a minute, just got to get the torch".................

Argghhhhh - Save Me!!!

God theres no hope for me then, i'm forever chatting away to my boys (2 x basset hounds)!

Everytime I leave the house its the same thing..."ok be good boys for mummy, no barking and mummy loves you very much, oh and mister spud your incharge!"

I really am going to be "that" woman too!!

:D:D:D I know the type you mean .... I'm not far off that either :D:D:D

Maybe it's time to get a new life before it's too late:)

I would make an excellent DC - I have the death stare of a spaniel and I snap under stress! Tally Ho :D

Still wanna move in Woopsiid?

I was wandering round Pets at Home at the weekend wondering why I was getting funny looks coz for once Yellow Dog wasn't drooling over teh rabbits only to realise it was because I was merrily walking round chatting away to Yellow Dog like he was answering me :D

Oh man, I've been there ages! Wellies round the house (who has time to change from the yard?!), tweed skirt (I ride in whatever I happen to be wearing that day, jods on if they fit without having to change) The car is not a Fiesta but is definitely clapped out! Two yappy dogs, big dog doesn't bark.;)

I regularily talk to plants at work, don't know if it makes them grow better.
Me and winston have good conversations and he is good at hugs

Just a small question as I REALLY need to know, are you like me speaking in a slightly higher voice when talking to the dog/cat/horse? Or is it just me?.......'Holding breath'

You mean thats not normal!

Other than the dress code, I find this to be perfectly acceptable behaviour. How else will the dogs know you're listening if you don't chat back?:D
