He is just adorable

I can just imagine how much you miss the lovely Malic, as I feel the same about my Windsor. It's so sad and always takes so long to bring yourself to get another, as you feel like you're replacing them even though you never could.

Wow, he's huge (and very adorable!), how old is he, another 5 weeks seems a looooong time to wait.
Will he be vaccinated/microchipped when you fetch him?
Our pups will be going with a puppy pack including enough food for about 10 days, if you want to change his food you need to mix it in gradually.
I highly recommend a crate for him right from home-coming so he is used to it and it will be his little place of safety.
I got a doggy hot water bottle for mine when we brought her home and a few toys. I am sending my puppies out with a piece of vetbed that will be slept on by them all and mum before so it smells comforting.
Lots of newspapers.......

Can't think of anything else except to enjoy him which I'm sure you will.
Hopeless at names, all our pups have got silly names at the moment!

As mentioned above..I would get him a crate...best start when they are young then u don't have to deal with introducing them once the problems start and the howling starts....also a teddy bear to mimic his siblings minus the eyes and nose

it helps them settle immensely, as they cuddle in as they would their siblings.

puppy pads/vet bed whilst he is in the training phase.

Im no good at names...here goes...Benson, bodie, buster, winston, harvey, buddy, bailey, alfie.. something like that

Ah Alfie is one of the names on the list!!

He's 4 weeks old at the moment but when the 8 weeks is up we are looking after a friends dog for the week so the breeder has agreed to keep him another week so our friends dog isnt there. Yes insurance is a must!!! We used Direct Line last time, we had 4 claims ongoing at the same time and they were very good

. They have quoted us £22 month does that seem reasonable for a pup???

He comes with 6 weeks free insurance, KC reg, puppy pack, first jab and microchip etc..

NAww cute ! ! !
Hmm new puppy stuff-
- cute lead and collar
- toys!!!!
- Food and water bowls
- I spose food and water would also be a bonus
tongue.gif

- Little treats for rewarding behaviour
- Perhaps research a puppy training place to go to so it learns to walk on a lead, re-call and all that jazz!!
- Yeah agree a crate is ideal! They can doo all there mess in there (probs will as a pup) and not all over your floor

! ! ! Perhaps fold a blankie in one end for them to lye on and maybe put a non-destructive toy in. When we had mags she had a blankie smelling of her bros, sis and mom so that was good.

And give him lots of love

To know hes wanted when he gets seperated!

Names- Buster

!

He is so cute! Nawwwww. I can tell from your posts how much you loved Malic, and I'm sure the newbie will remind you of your much-loved boy, as well as bringing his own crazy Boxer traits to the table
grin.gif
Did you have to travel far to get him?

Puppy stuff? Crate; kongs; a little of the food the breeder had him on, that way you can switch over gradually, if you want to; training treats; "intelligent toys", such as wiggly giggly balls; blankets; lots of old towels; "Nature's Miracle" or whatever the UK equivalent is, to mask the smell of pee in the event of an accident...

Looking forward to a shedload of pictures. And I love Alfie!

he's gorgeous!

don't forget a puppy sized lead and collar. I know you won't be walking him outside straight away but he can start getting used to them.

can't wait for more pics. I like Hugo as a name for a boy if it helps
smile.gif

He really is truly scrumptious isn't he?? Im so pleased you went for another boxer in the end, they're the best, but then again i am biased!!
grin.gif

As for names, i love Alfie, as my horse is called that. I always think Boxers should have human names as they have such characterful little faces! When we bought Lucy we got a little rucksack with a bit of Nutro puppy food, a toy and a few other bits and pieces. The most invaluable item however was her crate and she really saw it as her little bedroom after a few days of being with us!

How's your little chap bred?? I like the dark brindle in the last pic too, reminds me of my first boxer Megan.

Congratulations and i hope you have many years of fun with him, he really is gorgeous!!

Yes, a blanket with his mums scent on will help, and you could put a ticking clock nearby at night to remind him of his mums heartbeat. Also, a well wrapped up hot water bottle that can't leak might help
smile.gif

I like Benson and i think he looks like a Joey!!
grin.gif

On Sashas first week or so at her new home she slept with a clock. I heard (just like the blanket) that it can relax them in new places because it sounds their mothers heartbeat.
Have fun with your new boy and we wat pictures
