Got a text from one of the riding club members asking if I wanted to take her place on a flat lesson tomorrow night...

And I agreed thinking it would be good, before I really put my mind into gear...

I NEVER have lessons - I'm going to ride like a total lemon, and its not just any instructor, she events professionally....

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!! I am going to make such a muppet of myself!

Why do I agree without thinking things through???

(quite looking forward to it actually, between the "being totally terrified rabbit in the headlights" moments!)

Get on with you!.You will thoroughly enjoy it.If you make a muppet of yourself so what.Everybody has to start somewhere. And it might make a nice change for the instructor to have someone that might need abit of help instead of people who compete at a high level.

You'll be fine!! I always find if I try to ride better I end up looking c**p so just do what you normally do!!!

Just sit there with a dopey expression on my face then??? And look confused a lot!!!

We are experts in haring round the coutryside over any ground, opening gates, and having fun, but not so expert in being disciplined in lessons...

Well, Asti does both its just me that avoids lessons!

Its good to have lessons. gives you some different ideas and its nice to have your horse appraised.
Even if it all goes wrong, you wont have wasted your time.I am sure you will get something from it!

Good luck

Oh, she's lovely

She doesn't look down on anyone so try not to feel too intimidated. She really is very down to earth. Are you in the Y&DSC by any chance?

Its a nice club, good friendly bunch. I used to be in it a few years ago and if I had more time I would still be now. Enjoy your lesson
