I just stumbled on this and almost wet myself. Thought I would share it with you guys. You just have to watch it!
It is a spoof vid, but the content is sooooooooooooooooooo good!
There are two, so be sure to watch them both.
The first is just so funny (look at the hands in trot) and the second,whilst still amusing, it is very imformative.
How can that girl keep a straight face????

When I first started it I thought oh good my daughter isn't the only one.

Oh shame, apparently she is...

My 22 month old is learning to ride, first time on her own this is exactly what she did, pony walked forward, she lent backwards until she was laying on pony's back and I had to stop laughing and prop her back up. Walk again, laid down again. Ok, enough of that.

Ha ha, That's little ones for you. Although it was a spoof video, I think she got the position and habbits of the dummy rider exactly right. What I found even more amusing, is if you watch right to the end of the second video....she takes the dummy rider out for a hack!!! (Listen to what she says about jumping) What a smashing way to train and bomb proof a young horse with a rider and totally safe in as much, is if there was a problem out on the hack, the girl only had to work on the pony and not think about the rider.

At first I did not read the right up under the videos, but I see now, this really was the purpose of breaking and proofing the beautiful young pony in readiness for her daughter to ride. Smashing....A little long, but well worth a watch and such wonderful instruction_____even though she is speaking to a dummy. I have watched this several times and I still wet myself :) How on earth does she keep a straight face, having said that in the beginning I am sure you can hear the person who is filming is sniggering. Don't blame her.

How has your daughter progressed now?
 
I wouldn't so much say progressed as I would still providing endless entertainment for me :p

Weather has been very hot and wet so now that winter is on its way we will be riding much much more often.

The last time I put her on the pony, as soon as pony took one step daughter went straight off the other side, I managed to grab her by the ankle and haul her back up. She had the giggles and I was laughing so hard I had to take her off the pony
