From a legal point of view.....if a dog did interfere with the horse to the extent that horse/rider are injured would the rider or owners be able to make some form of claim??? Or criminal charge??? Do competitors have to waiver their rights??? Does the committee have a 'duty of care' to protect horse and rider????
Just curious really..

Whilst I agree that there should be some penalty for ppl allowing their dogs to crate havoc, I feel (along with many others) that there is a place for pooches at Badminton and I think the Duke of Beaufort would agree, this has long been a place where dogs and horses have been together and I would not think that that will ever change. I would however agree with a ban on people insisting on chatting away in the grandstand during the dressage ( or SJ for that matter ) Every year I have had to endure loud mouthed people who insist on cahtting away on their mobiles or babbling rubbish while others are trying to enjoy the spectacle they are there to see and have paid for.........rant over.
