On the forehand

Basically, it's when the horse has more weight on its front legs than it does on its hind legs. The horse will pull itself along, rather then push using the hind legs/quarters as the power house. Can feel very heavy in the hand when you ride a horse like it.

Best way to correct it is to do transitions, transitions and more transitions so that the horse begins to transfer its weight to the behind and be able to push off. And you also want to be almost powering along as though you were going uphill.
