my boy went lame at the beginning of august, after xrays and scans he was diagnosed with ligament damage and ringbone but the vet said that he is sure the ringbone had fused long ago and it was the ligament that was causing the lameness. My chap had box rest, then restricted turnout and has been consistently sound since the midle of october and back in work. My question is..is it safe to carry on as normal (eg jumping/woods etc) or could this cause more damage/lameness with regards to the ringbone (hind/high articular) The vet told me to "carry on" as normal and enjoy him but im scared to do much other than hacking/schooling!! Please advise me!!
