Apologies for the poor quality photo - cheap old camera in torch light.. and yes, she is due for a trim..

This event line has appeared equally on all four of my filly's otherwise pristine feet, and is conclusive proof that the feet really can tell you an interesting story if you know what you are looking at.

Anyone like to guess what happened, and when? :) Molasses-free herbal treats to whoever gets the right answer.

Ah, thought the foot was smaller :)

So about three months ago then. August. Is the date relevant?

Vaccination? Never heard of a reaction like that though.

Antibiotics, that will sometimes do it?

Pah to molasses free herbal treats. Want chocolate!

Sooooo. Not Bute or antibiotics, but they are warm/hot, so something treatment/medical in nature......

Surely too young for omeprazole or prascend ......

No, stumped, chocolate or no.

Intravenous sedative?

No, I didn't say it wasn't bute or antibiotics..!

You can have the remains of the tub of Quality Street I've been working my way through for getting the timing spot on, and the treats can go to be positive.

Exactly 3 months ago to the day my 3 year old filly attempted hari kiri in the field, and while the results didn't bother her in the slightest, it did require a hefty dose of painkillers and antibiotics via injection over two days. Interesting eh?

Now I must remember to give her a trim tomorrow..
