And what would you want him to do instead?
If you want him to bite you, pull you around and wave his feet at you - I could lend you one like that

Don't see what the problem is if he is walking nicely on a lead would sooner have that then mine that tanks off whenever he feels like it to me thats lack of respect not one that leads nicely.

My two follow me round th field, we play add, though sometimes Figs forgets to stop when he is chasing me and runs past me then skids and comes back to nudge me!

Not much in the way of conversation though, they're in to Eastenders and I'm more a CSI kind of girl

Human chatter is meaningless to the horse, just white noise. Why would he flick his ears to the equivalent of department store muzak? And as for "body language", what are you trying to say with yours? By and large, if you walk calmly and with a purpose with a horse, the horse will do the same. If the horse is polite and well trained, he should stop when you stop, walk on when you walk on and not drag you for grass at every available opportunity or trample you underfoot.

Pardon my cynicism but this sounds the sort of post that Admin tell us to ignore. If your post is genuine, can you explain what it is you would sooner have your horse doing as you lead him along?????
