Until the shortest day and then it starts getting light again! Yay!

What do you look forward to in the year?

Mrs B, I am glad I am not the only one. I am counting the days to the 21st then its all up from then on :) Should not wish my life away but I really hate the dark, and having to watch the clock all the time, roll on the spring :) :)

What do i kook forward to, Um,... well.....er....... will get back to you on that!

Fii! :( *hugs*

Look forward to that stunning acid green of the hawthorn leaves: the smell of the earth when it comes back to life: the daffodils emerging like magic: the jackdaws starting to nest: the first 'baaaaa' of a new lamb, the idea of the sun, and the light, and the warmth, and that the swallows will soon be back. And the smell of wisteria. And the swifts, screaming overhead.... And, for me, when you look out onto a field and the grass is long enough to bend and shine silver to celebrate the coming summer....

Whooooo! I thought it was about 6 weeks away, must have lost count! I had had enough two days after the clocks changed so longer days would be lovely :D

I think the mild weather threw me off as well. It doesn't feel like it's nearly december so it doesn't feel like the dark nights have been here long enough to be on their way out again

I'm quite obsessed by it. My father rings me on 21st December to wish me happy shortest day - you can tell we're both outdoors people, he loves being on his boat, and worked until he retired in his 50's - he, like I, appreciates daylight. My mother on the other hand gave up work when she was pregnant with me (1968!) and only worked a few hours part time sporadically after that. She loves it being dark by 4pm!!!!

Vitamin D has definitely kept my spirits up, it really helps (cheap too).

Mrs B you soppy old mare :D lol :)

It did make me smile though, you got me there..... I am so looking forward to spring. This damp is really getting my goat and I can't tell whose horse is whose as they are all the same colour - mud.

I'm looking forward to rides in daylight again :) Why do have to change the clocks??
