I've just seen a photo of a One More Tiger filly on a different forum; must say I am impressed- am wondering if she is typical. Does anyone on here have foals by him? Thanks.
He's a cracking horse and is passing on his lovely temperament too which is equally important!
Tiger Tot has just come out under saddle to take the Reserve Championship at Myerscough a few weeks ago so hopefully his stock will continue to do very well at all levels.
Baydale on here has a lovely filly by him out of either an Old or More Pokey mare, I can never remember which it is! I'm always asking for more pic's of her lovely girl so this might jog her into action!
This is Kitty by him out of a Fraam mare; hopefully to be kept and sent eventing although she's looking more like a gawky camel at present!
This has since been sold to Scotland to go eventing with an International rider but she had had a rocky start to her yearling year and was just coming back into shape from being very poor. Last heard, she was standing 16.1 this spring at 3.
This is out of a Polish Warmblood who had 2 earlier foals by him which have done well showing, the one in the background is by him too out of a Welsh pony mare -
oldest will be 6 this year as mine is from the second crop.
i have a rising 5yro by One More Tiger out of a flatbred Tb by Inchinor and with a High Top damline.
she is quite hot to ride- she is very sweet and personable but sharp and a little opinionated to ride!
i broke her myself and she was a doddle to do- easiest horse i have ever broken but she does need lots of new things to keep her occupied- she is not the kind of horse you can spend hours perfecting a 20m circle on as she will tell you to do one!
she recently went to a professional rider who couldn't get a tune out of her at all and she went worse for the pro than for me!- however we recently changed rider and sent her to Rosie Thomas who thinks she is a fabulous horse.
she has got masses of scope, is very quick to adjust in front of a fence and naturally very, very bold. we have really high hopes for her eventing and so far Rosie agrees with us!
pictures below are of when she was a 3yro- we showed her 3 times and she picked up 2 Championships and one reserve.
the sharpness may come from the dam, i am not sure as Bibi (dam) was very quiet but had raced for 8 seasons before we got her!
All these gorgeous babies & I still cant convience the daughter to let me borrow the mare again!! There are just too many nice stallions about! Baydale she is lovely.
But please, go and get your camera out on her when you get time, we do need more of her - you needn't include the boy scout unless he comes with the package!
I'll try but the camera has gone walkies today (my fault obviously, as I'm Chief Tidier
). She does look pretty good now, still very opinionated but so is her mother. I might try and get her to the British Breeding in-hand classes if a certain other useless lump of lard qualifies.
Thanks everyone; clearly the first picture I saw wasn't a fluke and he really does seem to stamp his stock. Like them a lot! I tried to access his website; is it down at present or is it just me?
And if you'll excuse me for saying so, I think we can forgive Baydale's OH his shorts; since he's clearly not phased by being a big softy with foals in front of a camera, he would obviously count not as a boy scout but as a Real Man to any right-thinking horse-loving female.
