Why oh why do i not clean one piece of tack every night? - I have just done one of my dressage saddles - stripped it, cleaned and oiled it - its taken me 24 mins to do it properly ! and i have a huge feeling of satisfaction - i have even put the tack cleaning equipment somewhere i can find it again tomorrow..... OH will have a fit though he is allergic to the smell of the oil.... tough he shouldn't have gone to the pub (lol)
Big deal - so why is it the first bit of tack i have cleaned this year? - I am ashamed when i have just realised that! - when i was a kid i used to clean the tack after every ride and i had 3 ponies - one summer i was made to clean my sisters tack so i used some wax polish on the seat...... needless to say she came off the next day when we were out on a mad ride - never admitted that to her though......
