This is probably a blonde question as I am assuming it's ok but Sid threw a shoe today (needed to be shod anyway as he's about 5 weeks since last shod) YO has invited me to join a lesson tomorrow evening (for free) - anyone see any problem with riding on sand with three shoes???

He's settling in really well to the new yard BTW and YO (who is schooling him too) has him sussed.....he's got a long winter of work ahead of him - poor unsuspecting mite!!!

My pony lost a shoe at the weekend (a front one) and my daughter rode him in the arena last night (sand/rubber) and he was absolutely fine.

I would think that on a sand arena he would be fine - you can always stop if you feel he is being 'footy'.
