Our not so new boy has been with us a year now and is really settling in.

I did a little then and now photo comparison to remind me how far we’ve come and was pretty chuffed! In my friend’s words “in some ways he is twice the horse you bought, and in one particular way, half ?”

The only sad bit is how much his gorgeous dapples are lightening! ?

I was just going to say, the sad part of owning a dappled grey. Why can't those lovely dapples last forever?

I know! He was 12 when we bought him so I was hopeful they’d last, but alas not ?

He is a real looker, isn't he?

I’m biased of course, but I think he is ☺️ The sweetest bit is he genuinely hasn’t got a clue, he’s the kindest, most Labrador-like horse I’ve ever come across. In stark contrast to my older boy, who is gorgeous and talented, but boy does he know it ?

He's lovely and yes it's so unfair that they lose the dapples! My latest grey is now going fleabitten which i'm quite chuffed about as all the others have just gone white. Of course a gleaming clean white horse is still very lovely but of course being in that state is a rare thing :D;)
