It was a year ago yesterday that I had my gorgeous girl Aleeta PTS after long term lameness and then an accident out in the field. She was a wonderful horse - my horse of a lifetime- and after such heartache I made the decision the give up on horses.

However that didn't last long and in januray I took on a share horse who gave me my confidence back and took me to Elementary dressage in just a few months and also took me to the trailblazers finals. We had a great time and towards the end of the summer I started to feel ready to have my own horse again.

I started looking for a loan horse and enquired about a few only to find that they either weren't suitable or had already found lovely new homes. I eventually went to see one and fell in love with him but was very dissapointed when the owner chnaged her mind. I had given up all hope and couldn't afford to buy so thought i'd leave it till after winter. As I am sure we all do I continued browsing the for sale sites and dreamt of being able to afford another horse. An advert cropped up and something kept drawing me to it. Ikept going back and looking then dialing the number and then hanging up. Eventually I went to look at her and fell in love all over again. I couldn't afford to buy her and felt quite guilty about going to look. I even went back for a sit on her and wanted her even more. This is where my lovely Nan stepped in abd bought her for me.

This is the pic from the ad

Since I bought Elsa she has come on in leaps and bounds. She is just about ready for our first dressage comp but is having some issues with loading. We have someone coming to sort her out in Jan then hopefully there will be no stopping us. She is having a little time off till xmas due to weather and time restraints but she has done so much since I have had her I think she deserves it!!

I found out that Elsa came to England on the same shipmant that Aleeta came on and were bred by the same people. They were probably out in the field together when I picked Aleeta out of a field of 2 year olds back in 2006. I didn't believe in fate but maybe Elsa was just ment to be!!
