With the weather being especially wet currently, I’d like to upgrade the dogs’ towelling robes. They have the original ones from when Bear and Zak were babies, a simple Velcro strap holds it together but then leaves half the belly exposed, not ideal with a low to the ground shortar$e like Goose. Can anyone recommend a maker/brand that I can pop on after walks to stop them getting cold and save the car? I keep seeing Bobbydogs on FB, is that someone on here? They do this version, possibly the original maker? I’d like legs, no zips.

I made towelling and fleece drying bags for mine - with a zip up the back. Keeps them nice and warm while they dry off. Do you sew (or know someone who does?)

I did look at the rug type but for the same reason as you, didn't like the belly being left. Mine are shortarse dogs so get very wet bellies!

Equafleece probably best of the bunch. Rydale do a slightly cheaper version.

I've got a fab 'Pride' one and one with lightning bolts but one is in the car and the other is in the garage and I'm too comfy to get up so don't know brand, got them in the pet shop. Will try to remember later.

Equafleece! Fodhla has two, they wash really well, and keep her dry and warm. Plus she looks adorable in them 😂
But given Goose comes back filthy (belly/legs), will it dry him? He hates the hairdryer and it takes forever. I’d rather chuck on a onesie and leave him to fester in the kitchen!

Equafleece. They dry and clean them. At last count there was 31 here in various sizes, colours and types (we have the 4 leg, 2 leg, polo coat and old style coats!)

Ruff and Tumble are crap for spaniels, wrong shape and slide around sideways and end up tight on the shoulders.

It does for my uncle's Irish water spaniel who obv has curly hair but I don't know actually would it work on someone with hair as long as a springer! Sorry not much help after all 😂

The hooligan spaniel has both equafleece and ruff & tumble. The EF is definitely a better fit (although took a few false starts to get there) but I’ll admit I tend to use it to stop him coating himself in mud rather than afterwards but think they’re supposed to be ok for drying them off when wet as well. The R&T does not stand up well to crazy running around as it does slip back a bit but is perfectly fine for lounging about in when wet and does seem to work well for drying him off. Please note that he gets a “spaniel cut” now though as I got fed up of the mud & the hairiness so he dries off faster than a fully hairy one!
