Can someone help me find a cheap online feed store ?

At the moment I am spending £27 every 2 weeks on sugar beet, molli-chaff and ready mash.

Ideally I would like to find a store that stocks all these and ellen and page weight gain mix.

efeed is good but only worth it if you are ordering over 20 bags otherwise the add a surcharge

They don't do ready mash :-(, its costing me a fortune. I need to get a hay shredder really then I wouldn't need mollichaff

Can you not swap the mollichaff to hi fi or alfa a, would be much cheaper. I just bought a bag of mollichaff, went through it in no time but hi fi lasts me weeks. Just a thought

My mare is 43 so she struggled to chew which is why she is on molli chaff. Thanks anyway

wow 43, thats fantastic.
Lady on my old yard fed her 33 yr old sugar beet and soaked grass nuts and alfalfa nuts as he barely had any teeth left. Cost her a fortune too as he couldnt eat hay.

I really want to put her on the weight gain things but that means I'll have to cut something out ...

hey not sure how these prices compair to normal as i dont buy the products you want but they stock: sugarbeet, mollichaff, a&p weight gain and not really sure about the mash but found a bran mash in the straight feed section not sure if this is the same ?

Hi,

I would not feed mollichaff as a hay replacer - too high in sugar. Hi Fi Senior would definitely be the better option! And would work out cheaper too. If you need shorter chop still, Happy Hoof can be used as a hay replacer, and it is full of vits and mins too.

I also have an old horse whose teeth aren't what they once were, but luckily, for the moment he can still manage haylage.

I wondered that but the feed store lady advised me to give mollichaff as it has nettles, mint, lineseed (sp) oil in it and some other vits

I use them locally and they are really good, loads of stock of different feeds. they delivered shavings for us before too.
