Online shopping query - advice, please?

I ordered an item from a saddlery (let's call it 'Hackaway') and opted for next day delivery, paying extra for this.
I phoned 'Hackaway' this morning, to check that they had processed my order as the website for online ordering had been a bit weird at times. They confirmed they had, and said it would be delivered today.
It's 9pm, and unless they have employed creatures of the night as couriers, I guess it won't be coming.

What are my legal rights?

Pretty sure that if you paid for next day and didnt get it you are entitled to the postage refunded.
Well, that was our policy anyway-unless it was a fault of the courier and if so I think you can get compensation.

hmm.. I would say you have the right to a full refund, since they have not fulfilled their side of the deal.

Do they not know who you are? Perhaps a well timed curse or maybe some thumbscrews are in order.

Mind you, I wouldn't lose hope - from what I have seen in store recently their employees are indeed creatures of the night....

if sent via courier, speak to the online company involved

if sent by special delivery...royal mail...you will need to contact royal mail...

Deal - must warn you, my 3yo equine filly only has two attitudes ' Bovvered? Don't fink so', or 'Whateva'. Like alll chavs, she is a bit light-fingered, sorry, light-muzzled and has stolen hats, hammers, torches, and nearly a JCB minidigger in the past

Refund plus compensation and a litre of blood. Accept nothing less. Remind them that your therapy bill for non-arrival of said Very Important Item will run into three figures.
