Okay, pointless post really, but I'm happy

Although it will have been six frustrating weeks, at least I will be able to drive again. Actually, at least I'm still here to be frustrated

...Four weeks and three days 'till I can ride again...

Congrats for getting through those 6 weeks, I would be bouncing off the walls by now!
I bet you can't wait to be out on the road again, and the last 4 weeks will fly by

I love my car and the freedom it gives me so think you've done really well enduring 6 weeks without driving whilst remaining so upbeat and glass half full, very healthy approach to life you have! I'd have been unbearable. Go for one of your favourite drives when you get back behind the wheel rather than to the supermarket!

Been driving since I was ten years old, so 'tis a bit weird indeedy. Did have a stint earlier this year when cracked an arm bone, but I think that was three weeks

woop woop! I bet it'll feel really odd. Even after a 2 week holiday abroiad and no driving it feels wierd! take it steady!xxx

oh Mrs M, I'm newish but I do love your posts, you are an inspiration and so level headed as well, I wish I could be as patient as you! Congrats in advance. By the way, since you were 10??? What did you start driving? Don't tell me it was an old grey Fergie, that was my first drive but I wasn't 10. Still memorable!

Blimey I wish that was the same for me, I've had to surrender my licence due to having a problem with passing out and dizzy spells, which I suppose aren't condusive to safe driving!!
Very envious!!!

Lol, more like a pile of perspiration (got a cold - blah), but thankies

Yup, learnt to drive an old jalopy round a friend's fields - seats weren't attached, no seat belts, next to a river (no fence). Was a hoot
grin.gif
. Then my Dad taught me how to change gear... on an old airfield: we were there for a couple of hours. I got reasonaby good
cool.gif
. My Mum let me take her Mini down the drive on my tenth Birthday
grin.gif
. I've done the same with my two daughters - youngest 'drove' my Z3, only she couldn't see over the bonnet

It was great fun

. Looked the part - arctic silver, red leather interior, mahoosive wheels, but only a 1.8 and I kept red lining it

. When the roof is up, there is a yuck blind spot, nearly wiped out on the M5

. Swapped it for a Discovery - can fit all the kids and gear in

My toy boy phase ended in a Lotus Excel, very James Bond but didn't do farm tracks or car washes, leaked like **** from underneath and through most windows! Had to go to a meeting on a farm in deepest Wales one day and the exhaust tail pipe fell off half way over, stopped and put it in the boot and they could here me coming from 5 miles away. Swapped it for an early Range Rover which also leaked!
